About Passwords
Your password is more than just a key to your online account. If your password falls into the wrong hand, someone can easily impersonate you while online, sign your name to online service agreements or contracts, engage in transactions, or change your account information. Your ID's and passwords are confidential information. No one should ever ask you for your ID or password in an unsolicited phone call or email message. Do not respond to any message that asks you for this information. Do not write your passwords down. If you must write it down, keep it locked away in a place only you can access. Change your password periodically of if you suspect something is amiss. Changing your password periodically ensures that if someone has inappropriately obtained it that you may avoid any possible fraudulent use of that account by changing it before they may have a chance to do harm to you and/or your private information. Instructions for changing your password can be found with the assigned account area. Don't use personal information that someone could
easily figure out, such as your birthday, your child's name, your street

It's easy to change your preferences. Simply sign out of your account, and then sign in again without checking the "Remember" box. Before saving your password on any browser, plug-in, or program, thoroughly read the security documentation for that program or service. Depending on the program, your passwords may be made available to anyone who uses that computer. |
